Kokoa Gold

Growing up, Kokoa was always intrigued by the art of stripping and stripteasing. Once she moved to Mount Holly, NC, she found a pole studio and felt like she had finally found her people—a warm, encouraging, judgment-free zone that hyped up those who were already fearless and supported those who were coming out of their shells. Knowing that she would one day want to try out a strip club, she found herself surrounded by mentors at her home studio who were in the industry, making her debut as an exotic dancer less scary.

As she has grown as a performer, Kokoa found her favorite pole moves: a Marley and Oona, both great crowd pleasers! She discovered that these moves worked well on her body even after taking a break and returning sixty-five pounds heavier. This realization showed her that all the previous limitations she had were all in her head. Her body demonstrated that it was physically stronger than her mind, emphasizing the role of pole in helping heal her mind. Kokoa believes that pole is turning her into exactly who she is meant to be.

Despite her unconventional path, Kokoa has always had the love and support of her family, whether she was stripping, competing, teaching, or performing in showcases. Her dearest memories of pole include her second-ever showcase, where her grandmother was in the audience cheering on her glamorously scandalous granddaughter. Being able to truly be herself in the presence of the matriarch of her family allows her to always walk with her head held high in her 8-inch pleasers.

Kokoa aspires to share the same love with her students. Pole dancing changed her life, and she can't wait to see the impact it has on yours.
