Leah

Since there was a pole studio in Leah's town, her interest in pole dancing was sparked. She spent a year contemplating because she wanted a friend to go with her. Eventually, Leah gathered the courage, signed up, and despite feeling extremely nervous, loved her first class so much that she became a member that day and never left!

She quickly discovered her love for the basics of pole dancing: body rolls, hip circles, pirouettes—anything with flow. With every body roll, she gained confidence she didn't know she had before. Having a safe space to fully be herself and feel free translated beyond the studio into every area of her life. Leah began entering every room with the same confidence she found in the pole studio, emphasizing that confidence extends beyond the physical. She believes that this transformation is truly priceless.

A memorable moment during Leah's pole dancing journey was her first pole competition, PSO 2016. Despite being terrified, it was an amazing experience. Based on her experience, Leah's biggest advice to anyone interested in pole dancing is to just show up. You don't have to look a certain way or be able to do specific moves. Pole dancing is more about who you are inside and how you feel about yourself. Take back your life and don't let nervousness deny you experiences that may change your life!
